Anyone know the spark plug wire resistance for a 99 D1? I want to test my existing wires to make sure they're still within specs. Tried searching and looking in RAVE, couldn't find anything????

Thanks in advance.

I just tested a new good wire - 4kΩ
Old wire, probably still good, has "Lucas" on the insulation (factory?) - 10kΩ

test all of them and see if any of them are way off. If they are all close to each other (ones that are of similar length) then most likely they are ok.

this will not test for any high voltage leakage, which is what you really need to know. you need a high tension lead tester to check these.
something similar to this is what i have used thousands of times. just dont get in a hurry and zap yourself! http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/topages/cabletester.php

if they are factory it doesnt matter what you measure with an ohm meter, they are past due to be replaced.

They are 7mm Bosch wires...about 1.5yrs old. Got a head gasket oil leak with leaked onto and i think into the wires, that's why i wanted to test them.

Thanks to all who chimed in..i'm going to just order some Magnecores and be done with it.
