It’s extremely well done for a vehicle that size for what it is. It isn’t bland and stands out. It also has as much capability as the non Wrangler Jeep offerings.
Kinda reminds me of the LR2 in size which works well for many applications. It certainly is on my list for when it is time to replace the ‘04 A4 Avant Quattro.

I saw a back & white sport yesterday and it’s kind of growing on me…

I’m telling you, they nailed the design. Just enough toughness to get everyone’s attention. The base model is kind of bunk IMO. The higher trim levels look great like the Jeep Liberty with the roof rails, darker colored alloys, and built in aux lights above the windshield.

There's going to be a few lucky people driving their new Bronco around town. Apparently most will have to wait

“ is reportedly halting production at the Michigan factory that recently began building its Bronco SUV for a lack of parts, while curtailing production at eight additional factories due to the global semiconductor shortage.”

And feel sure the crony virus will have something to do with it.

You mean you can’t drive on rocks with bling rims and street tires? Goes to show you who/what that truck is really made for. The Pretender is not a contender.

Once upon a time, all Land Rovers shipped with off-road capable wheels and tires. You didn't have to fuck around with a package that said "yes, I'd like to actually go off-road". The fact that the most utilitarian product out of JLR still doesn't ship with appropriate wheels and tires demonstrates how out of touch the corporate dandies at JLR are.

Yep. The ‘94 D90 had BFG MTs standard. However LR changed to A/Ts on the ‘95 because people complained. Pretty sure the ‘97 D90 had A/Ts as well. The Classic Rangies and the D1s had some type of A/Ts. All had robust wheels for sure.
Along the same lines, having an Oh Shit bar/handle on the passenger side in the Classic Rangies showed what it was meant to do. My wife uses it often.

It's like Ford releasing a SuperDuty truck that needs an optional package to get a bed or the ability to tow. It's pathetic.

Yea, it’s lame. It’s a lifestyle brand now, been that way for a while.

With the exception of NAS Defenders, the older models depreciated off a cliff. Let’s not pretend the days of $500 D1’s and $1,000 RRC’s didn’t happen.
True. Yet I’m looking at today. One reason the RRCs and D1s are gaining value is they still are functioning after 25 years or more.
i’m not so sure that will be said with a new Defender or other LR vehicle after 25 years.
Let alone the early Rovers are just better looking imho.

No doubt on the looks but the drivetrain in newer Rovers is superior to the RV8. I think there will be plenty of L322’s and LR3/4’s on the road for years to come. The L322 is nearly 20 years old
