We just finished a snorkel for a P38....comments...and before it gets said or asked it is not made out of shitter pipe or rain gutter down spouts....all steel and powder coated.

I like it! I've got the Mantec on my RRC so I am biased but that it is a nicely done snorkel for the P38.

Maybe a different top on it, but it blends in nicely.

What year 911 in the back of that first pic? looks to be late 80's.

That looks really good. But I assume the EAS has been removed allowing pipework
along the LHS of the enginebay.
Would be interesting to have a look under the bonnet as well.

The eas has been removed for the 3 inch lift, but this snorkel will work with eas no problem, everything is in the fender and behind the liner in the wheel arch. The inlet to the airbox goes exactly into the stock location.

OHHH
Any more details about the fitment work involved. It looks like the corner of the bonnet
is cut and held in place to act like the 'decker' panel ala RRC.

HMMM lifting bonnet when I get home.

I like the style, it harkens back to the original snorkle on the camel trophy range rover. I like accessories that fit the shape and style of the vehicle. Everyone is crazy about Rovertym stuff but I find it too angular and too thin for Classics and P38s. Too look right accessories should match not only the line of the vehicle but the mass as well.

Good Job!

The air intake hole on a P38 is located in the fender well behind the fender wheel well plastic liner. Its real easy to suck in water and crap when off-roading in a P38. If you do allot of wheeling in a P38, the snorkel will be very beneficial.

Looks great, good job!

Cold air doesn't really help, since there's a little "heater" for the intake air just before the throttle body. I realize it's only to prevent frost, how much heat could really get transferred to the incoming air?

at full throttle (when the cold air REALLY makes a difference) not much. there's a very small heat tranfer surface area, and allot of air moving through there and not much water. I doubt you'd see 1 degree.
