I've been wanting to put the Nitto Dune Grapplers on my wife's 95 lwb for a while now (its a "show" rig). I'm curious if anyone has tried the Yokohama Geolander MTs, my ProComp Xtreme MTs are wearing thin (overall good experience, but seemingly short life) and I've been thinking about picking up some Geolanders to try out due to their good reviews.

I'm curious if anyone has tried the Yokohama Geolander MTs

my friend in Brasil had them on his 110.

keep in mind the tire has a directional chevron type tread design.

so they work great going forward and not well going backwards!

he got them free and took them off after experiencing the above.

went back to XZLs.

I had Geolanders (not the Mud T's)on a RRC and loved them. Put 35k on them and gave them to a friend who ran them another 2 yrs on his RRC.

I had 255 trxus on my 90 and while they did decently they were loud as hell after 10k.

Have 30k on a set of 285 KM2's and still love them. Best off road tires I have had in 30yrs of offroading

Try these dude, I really like em wide grooves... but they are directional!.
Great in snow, however it was no match for 32" of snow as I found out this past wknd...actually wasn't the tires's fault, I think the pile I got stuck in was more like 5'.
Yokos geolanders m/t's!....285/75-16.

Since the Mud Grapplers have been out for awhile now and they've been on two of Justin's trucks...any update on how these tires perform?

I have run a boat load of tires and think the Nitto MG is the most aggressive off road mud tire that you can still drive on the street. I read that some one said they are not good mud tires but more of a rock tire. I disagree. Look at the video starting ant 2.27 That clay mud mixture was like duck snot. Before we went up the hill a full on buggy with 40in ish swamper tried it several times only to park at the bottom and watch the disco go up it.

was the buggy running electric lockers? maybe they wouldn't lock for some reason. i know a guy running those kind of lockers and he always seems to have trouble when im the trail with him, and man is it embarrassing for him. it's not always the tires, sometimes it's the driver.

anyways, to the original post, out of all the radial 'road' worthy mud tires (i absolutely hate to admit it) the nitto mud grappler does have a pretty sexy tread. they have some good offset lugs, which are no longer present in the bfg mt's or goodyear mtrs. that outer lug makes all the difference.
