Noises that irritate me

The LR3 is starting to make some noises and squeaks that have begun to irritate to no end. Wanted to see if anyone had run into similar noises.

Suspension squeak:
Getting a squeak, like a bad mattress, seeming to come from the front end. LCA’s replaced about 25k miles ago and sway bar bushings (and end links) appear in good shape. Have checked for of the tell tale signs of LCA bushings going bad and nothing there. Have doused everything in lubricant and doesn’t seem to make a bit of difference. It can vary in volume but is pretty noisy/embarrassing at times. Oddly seems to go away have I drive in the rain 🤷🏼‍♂️.

Front passenger seat:
More of a squeak/creeking noise if someone’s in the passenger seat and there’s any significant side to side motion of the vehicle. I believe it may be in the seat itself than between the seat and base.

Obviously these vehicles are 10+ years old but was wondering if there might be any thoughts on remediating them. Mechanically it’s been very solid for me but stuff like this drives me nuts. Any thoughts greatly appreciated

When the air spring on the strut leaks it makes a really loud high pitch squeak. I can usually make the sound by lifting on the front fender.
I think those seats we had to take the cushion up and put a plastic grommet in the holes for the wire platform that supports the cushion. The metal on metal squeaks but it’s really a grinding sound.

The squeaky seat I had or should still have. Turned out to be a variety of things in and under the seat. By far the largest noise came from the rings under the seat holding the bottom most part of the base on there.

#1 Took the whole seat out, used pliers to pinch those rings together and most of the noise went away.
#2 Took the plastic trim pieces off the arms that hold the seat back to the base frame. Mine were loose and there was a sort of rattle from side to side of the seat.

As for your suspension noise, I just close my eyes and go to a happy place, because no amount of lube, bushings or entire parts to be replaced changes them. At least for us, that is.

I’d tend to rule out a leak in the air strut as I’m not losing any air out of the system. Does that sound right?

Thanks both for the tips on the seat. Doesn’t sound fun but I’ll dig into it

No they don’t usually sink when this happens to the strut. It’s like it leaks when the suspension is unloading. Back up to the front fender and reach back to lift slightly on that corner.
