A buddy wants to get a diagnostic program to look at everything and also wanted one that has abs capability. for his 95 D1.I think you need the wabco box. Do the blink code.
I know how to do the ABS blink whether it’s gems or other. But like I said, my buddy wants to get a comprehensive diagnostic scanner that will also have ABS capability. You couldn't access the ABS without the WABCO diagnostic box until GEMS engine management . I would have to look up how all that worked to be honest. That was a long time ago. I see the old WABCO thing all the time when I move it to get at something relevant. I can post up a few pics of the thing if your really interested.
Good luck with that. If someone could have done that when it was relevant they would have. Now I'm afraid your buddy and a few of us are the only ones who would even be interested. But really for how much I would actually use the thing I don't think I would buy one. On this old stuff it's come down to a schematic and a scope, a good meter until you need the scope. I'm looking at the Black Box Solutions stuff. I'm also trying to get a working T4. I just don't think I would use the stuff enough to make it worth a lot of money.I know how to do the ABS blink whether it’s gems or other. I’m almost certain it will.will it pair gems era key fobs?
Have you ever used it? It's functionality has been less than impressive. When it was new it wasn't great.I’m almost certain it will.
If you have a fob that’s not gettin recognized by the truck, there’s a sequence to re-synchronize it. Something like push the fob unlock button five times relatively quickly followed by the lock button once. I’d need to double check that.
I have. Mainly to view live data and tell the ECU the truck has a 4.6 instead of a 4.0 after engine swaps.Have you ever used it? It's functionality has been less than impressive. When it was new it wasn't great.
