Hope somebody here can get remember some stuff about a super locked LP Range Rover. I have a truck that is super locked. T4 wont unlock the BECM. When I command it it sits there and kind of looks like its trying to unlock the BECM but it won't. It in effect locks up the T4.

So my question is 1st..If the three other doors are superlocked and the Drivers door will unlock with the key, is that door latch broken? Or could you unlock a superlocked drivers door with the key? I didn't think you could do that. If the drivers door latch is broken, could that keep me from unlocking the BECM?

My plan right now is to open the drivers door and take the whole door out of the circuit by disconnecting it at the pillar post connector. Then seeing if T4 can unlock the BECM. To get under the seat and start making measurements at the BECM I'm probably going to have to break the superlock motor off the pass front door and thats going to add exponentially to the cost of this repair.

I'm hoping some of you guys can remember something about this system. I'm thinking I will have to replace the BECM to get around the fact that T4 can't unlock it. But to know for sure I will have to get under the pass side seat and thats going to be a bitch without being able to open the pass front door.

Thanks. That's a lot of good info. Makes me think the driver door latch is broken to shit and not changing the signal state when turning the lock cylinder. I have a drivers latch I'm going to plug into the door harness and see if that allows me to sinc the key handset.

I meant to say latch when I wrote my last post. My problem with this truck is I've forgotten more about it than I remember. I cant remember if the super locked driver door latch gets unlocked with the key. On this POS it is the only latch not superlocked. Do you remember if the key does anything to a superlocked door?

Have you tried entering the EKA code?

No but I've never had any luck with that. That's an option too. I'm gonna go back on it early this week so I'll let you know where I get. I might have to break out my old ass T4 that still uses discs.

I hope that the reason T4 locks up instead of unlocking the BECM is because that drivers door latch is in a violated state. Don't know. 12 years ago this would have been much fresher in my mind. If it was a GEMS LP I would feel more like this is a worthwhile venture. This thing is really clean but has hood rat wheels and tires. Sitting on the bump stops and tearing up the tires when I push it around.Cause tires too big for the wheel wells when its on the bump stops. Things gotta be running to inflate the air springs from the dryer's outlet hose. Probably gonna have to put it on skates so I don't pop one of these tires. But then again my problem job hole is full of 405 Range right now.
