I shot a VP9 the other day and liked it a lot. Easy accuracy I think is the best way to describe it. I was able to do follow up shots much better than with my XD-S, but that probably has more to do with it being a full frame rather than a compact. Still, HK feels like it's worth the scratch.

I know, that's such a good deal. I think my next handgun is going to be a 1911 though. I've always shot them and liked them, but never owned one.

Just get an Armscor or a Rock Island and run 230gr ball through it. There's no point in spending a grand on a Kimber or something else until you've decided if the platform is for you.

Every time I see an old WW2 movie I have to fight the urge to find a GI-spec 1911.
