the SRS light is on in my 2001 Discovery.

using my Foxwell i pulled the SRS codes and came back with LH and RH pretensioner codes.

i erased the codes and only the RH pretensioner code came back.

after a quick peruse of the D2 workshop manual i'm still not sure how to go about fixing this.

is it as simple as tracking down all yellow wires and plugs and cleaning them with electrical cleaner? battery disconnected, of course.

unplug and reconnect them both a few times. Then google terminal fretting.
thanks. i assume the plugs are in the cab of the Rover. one under the steering wheel and the other behind the glove box?

does the glove box need to be removed to access the plug?

I've been using the hell out of this on all the contacts I have to deal with.

Remember to disconnect the battery and wait at least 10 minutes before doing anything with the SRS system.

In the case of my truck a few years ago, a driver airbag code ended up being caused by a fault in the connector to the SRS DCU under the center console. It took some sleuthing with the multimeter to track down the fault.

You need to calm down about the air bag going off. I have never heard of one going off like you describe even though they try to scare you. I have seen a guy turn the key on while his restraints module wasn't bolted to the floor. Every side curtain air bag went off.
