PT's diagnostic tip of the day. Figure this one out.

I think the last time we hadone of these exercises, Perrone might have been involved.

Wife's DII. 2001 MY, little more than 100K on it. Fairly well maintained (it's her truck, not mine, I have to take care of it).

Yesterday, she hits the brakes hard, engine hiccups. Low power, drive on to work.

Lunch time, hard start, runs rough, no power, CEL illuminated.

Gets it home, kid reads codes, following codes (some paraphrased as hey, I've got tools to sell)
Camshaft sensor/valve timing.
MAFS fault drive cycle A
Purge valve fault
purge valve fault
Two codes for oxygen sensors.

Now, keep in mind that this is about how much info I get when folks call me for help.

What do you guys think the $0.50 fix was?

I'll respond when I feel like it :)

Holy crap! PT lives!

Including the clue about the braking was intentional. I'm going with the hard braking dislodged/disconnected something or caused contact with something that was already on the verge of going. But what? PCV hose?

I was very happy to see this as well.I was quite concerned when he was a no-show to the Midwest Rover Rally. ;)
P.S., I want one of your T-shirts PT. Sned me a Large and I'll send you a Rally T. It'll almost be like you were actually there. HAHAHAHA!

The next question would have to be..............what made the fuse blow?
Contrary to popular belief, fuses do wear out. Not saying this is the case but given the age of the truck, it's possible.
