Anyone know the thread size for the swivel ball fill plug on a D1 that has the 1/2" square head on it. I think its 3/8" NPT but would like to know for sure before going to store on my way to go work on it tonight. I want to get a brass reducer to a 1/8" npt to put a zerk fitting in it so i can add grease easier

Don't put chasis grease in your swival houseing. Unless you want your swival balls to rust.(Ask me how I know this) At least use one shot or Maybe John Deere corn head grease or better yet gear oil.
The swival ball seal is not hard to change and besides your wheel bearing may need to be packed anyway.

The stuff they sell in the bag is one shot and it is very thick and good stuff. It is made for your application.

You may like the green grease, but it most likely is gonna cost you a couple cv's in the long run. Plus it will come out past your seals like no tomorrow.
