I'm posting in the general section since I'm referring to my Saab 9-5.

I split a heater hose in the middle of nowhere this evening and ended up putting creek water (~6 gal through) in my car to get home. Is there anything other than a normal water flush that I should do?

You could have squeezed it through a sock full of sand.

I flushed it out really well and got it going. The water I put it was greenish and what came out of the radiator was clear when I first opened it so I think may do another change soon just for good measure.
