Trying to get a group organized for beers, I know there is a CROC event this weekend. If any of you in town there will be some folks having beers at Tylers Taproom in Seaboard Station.

I apologize in advance for hijacking this thread, but need to find some trails a little closer to me than Uwharrie. I just moved to the Goldsboro area a few months ago (active duty AF) and cant seem to find any local LR groups. I joined CROC and Old North State, but can't get a reply to my posts looking for local trails. So, any of you know some local trails I can hit that don't carry the added benefit of a fine if caught on them?
I am close to getting on the Wrangler Forum just to join some of them heading out to trails in Raleigh. Not above wheeling with Jeepers, would just prefer LR folks since I am relatively new to the Disco still.
If anyone can help out let me know. Thanks.

the nearest legal OHV park to you is Uwharrie.
other than some fire roads out in the Croatan National Forrest near New Bern, NC but, those are just that...and won't be much fun.

There is a plenty of private land and trespassing to be done. There used to be some powerline mudsling stuff around Raleigh im not sure if it is still safe. I believe there used to be a lot of roads in the croatan but a lot has been closed off, I think the wheeling here is lots of mud and water.

Welcome to Goldsboro from a fellow goldsborian. Not much around here like they said except uwharrie. So unless you know someone with land( I don't) then uwharrie is our best bet

jgdisco, thanks for the welcome. Yes I was on the Saturday trail ride at URE. It was my first time up there. I had a great time on the Uwharrie trails, just wish it was closer. If I can find some trails locally I will let you know? if you're interested.

There is power line trail off TW Alexander dr in RTP. I personally havent been, but from what Ive heard there quite a few people that use it..

I'm right down the road in Wilson. I know a couple muddy holes around here, nothing that great tho... I'm down if you find something or if y'all want to get a drink sometime and BS Rover!
