Rear AC controls D1

Are the rear AC buttons on the dash and in the headliner supposed to be momentary or latching?

The ones in this truck act like momentary switches but do not close the circuit when pressed.

I picked up a d2 button and it looks identical but is latching. Are these supposed to be interchangeable? They have different part #s in the catalog

Just checked mine (95 DI) both are momentary. Time to break out the schematic.

Thanks. Been staring at the schematics all day. Its down to the wires from the ac control module to the switches, the switches to ground, or the control module itself

I would start with the control module, myself. Pop the board out and look over the solder points for a micro crack. It seems like most failures in the control boards on these vehicles are from a dodgie solder point.

Corrosion in the switches. All better now
