Did you try removing the cargo door's handle Land Rover oval badge and praying lubricant into the metal linkages in the handle area?

That is a likely solution. It's been successful many times before.

You can also access the entire assembly if you remove the cargo door trim. I've done it several times just using a fork. It may be possible with the door closed, but I don't have enough trim in there to know for sure at this time, and I don't remember. Slide a card around it to find the clips, and they come out relatively easily without damage, so long as you use a fork or similar trim removal tool. You just want it supported, so the press-board panel isn't receiving all the pressure.

If anyone else knows another answer off the top of their head, just tell the man. Nobody likes looking through that stupid RAVE setup.

Cheers,

Kennith

New mechanism is installed. All working fine, now. Just wish I could have removed the old one in a more complete manner to see what was really wrong
