So where are all the second amendment militia ‘patriots’ in their tactical ar’s, 5.11’s, and Velcro hats??
Seriously, where are the guys dressed up like special operators helping the local law enforcement protect business’ or helping keep the peace?

the ACLU says the president of the United States does not have the authority to declare a domestic group a terrorist organization?
China and Russia is calling the riots the fault of an unjust U.S. Law enforcement policy?

I say a new law needs passed ASAP. Any honorably discharged veteran is allowed to lock and load and help local law enforcement.

when the dust settles how many insurance companies are going to deny coverage to avoid bankruptcy and once again us pothole fillers will be left to pay the tab.

I say fuck it. Open fire.

A gas station attendant or liquor store owner has a weapon under the counter and will use it.
I say it’s time for all Target employees to open carry and mini guns installed at every entrance.

Sounds sad
In Alabama, "merica" we have a castle law. If you trespass on ones property and are unannounced you could get dropped, legally.

This keeps squatters, looters, and rioters from having rights when breaking the law.

Not to make light of the situation, but all these celebrities who are like "OMG, I went to the riots and was shot with a rubber bullet". I mean why would you go on CNN and proudly announce to the world how fucking stupid you are.

Antifa or whatever fucking dipshit group that's probably funded by Soros arranged a smash-n-grab riot here in my hometown, Scottsdale AZ. They hit up a popular Old Town shopping mall to really stick it to whitey. I live pretty far away from there but last night my wife & I did review our home defense plan, which consists of you take the older son to the younger son's room and close & lock the door, wait there while I shoot everyone and then come and get you. I also fully loaded a few P-Mags with .556, filled belt pouches with 12-gauge shells for the '97 Trench Gun, and verified that at least a few other rifles and handguns in the safe were ready to go.

Same threats happening here. All these stores and shops have been devastated by COVID, now just barely beginning to reopen, only to have to close for fear of being looted, or worse yet actually being looted.
Go ahead and protest, demonstrate, speak your piece, exercise your rights. I'm all for it. As soon as looting and violence starts your message is lost and your cause is doomed.
My wife and I also went through our guns last night.

I'm of the opinion that there is almost no real need to own a firearm if you live in a nice area of a first world country.

That being said, if civilized society breaks down, needs change.

So, when the strip mall and Target 2 miles away got looted Friday and there were talks of tens of thousands of outsiders en route for Saturday, I told her it might be time to exercise our rights 😋

She still vehemently refused and got pissed every time I brought it up throughout the weekend.

🤷‍♂️

Just think, if just one person would’ve put their god damn phone down and confronted the cop maybe just maybe we wouldn’t be in this situation?

walk up and yell to his coworkers ‘hey, that dude is dying and all these motherfuckers are live streaming this shit’.
Or say that to the cop. What’s the worst that could happen? As long as you don’t assault the cop maybe he’ll listen.
We are a society of pussies too afraid to do the right thing at the right time. Intervene. Deescalate the situation.

nope just let bad shit happen and live stream it.
Evil persists when good men do nothing. And that’s exactly what all those live streamers were doing....nothing.

I haven't seen the whole video.

The couple minutes I did see, I'm pretty sure you could hear multiple people loudly voicing concern and questioning the necessity of the situation.

Have you ever dealt with a police officer in powertrip mode?

They don't give a fuck about how logical your argument is. Trying to rationalize with them only makes them more dismissive.

Assuming you aren't ceeding detainment, your best bet is to simply say "ok", over and over.

We are a society of pussies too afraid to do the right thing at the right time. Intervene. Deescalate the situation.

We are society who has learned that, righteous or not, you don't fuck with the police, otherwise you get dealt with.

Maybe my wiring is fucked up, but I don’t care how vicious a dog acts. I can honestly say if I was there and the cop did not respond to a level headed conversation I would’ve dropped a shoulder into him. Spend the night for assaulting a police officer and take my chances in court.
talk to some of the guys here that know me. I can be a miserable fuck.

yes there were several people there but none were trying to engage the cop or his coworkers. They were adding fuel to the fire.

It’s we before me. If I spend a night in jail or get beat by a cop to potentially save a life so be it.
But yes the reality is I would’ve got beat as well and who knows what would’ve happened. BUT if nobody died then maybe our country wouldn’t be in flames right now.

that cop, like many shit head cops, had numerous complaints against him. There are tons of good cops that need to step up and police their own. This brotherhood shit works both ways. Take care of your own but take care of your own. You know what I mean?
It doesn’t help you offer someone $30 something thousand a year with the responsibilities and a sense of moral decency to uphold....who the fuck is really going to deal with constantly being treated like shit in some instances? You get what you pay for.

It’s a fucked up Situation that’s been boiling too long.
the media has done their job fanning the racial divide. The anti Americans jumped on an opportunity to burn it down. Russia and China use this to amp up their anti America propaganda. It’s just a fucked up situation. And it’s an election season. And there is a pandemic. I’m sure this is all just a giant coincidence.

The day I stand around and watch bad shit happen I’m no better than the person doing the bad shit. I’ve had run ins with cops several times. I’ve never been dealt with. Then again maybe it’s my white privilege? When you’re calm with cops they respond accordingly.
Some of them are just looking for an excuse but you can usually read that. There is a picture of that cop during that incident and he had that look in his eyes that was void of reason and critical thought.

Right, but there's a cost benefit analysis when there's a good chance of ending up dead.

I was wondering about that after your shoulder drop comment 😄

I'm half white FWIW. If I were in that situation and attempted to deal with it in the manner of which you speak, my assumption would be I would end up in the morgue, not in court...

You have to wonder what that cop was thinking. This didn't seem to be a case where something happened and the cop just lost it. In the pictures I've seen he seems pretty happy about the whole thing. What he did was punch a ticket to a bunch of years of solitary confinement, unless they have a special prison for cops, because it goes without saying he can't go into the general population.
