You are cordially invited to come join Lucky 8 Off Road @ ROTR 8. Being that this is the 8th year and we have a thing for the #8, we are proud to offer the biggest ROTR to date! The rock challenge course is going to be bigger. It is going to be faster. And it is going to be better. There will be cash prizes to the winners of their respective classes, a great prize raffle, and as always a delicious meal catered by the famous Buddy's Log Cabin. The camping at Rausch Creek is free, but there are also rooms blocked off at the Hampton Inn of Pine Grove, PA.

Dates: November 11 & 12th 2016

More details to follow, but for now you can enjoy a montage of years past.

So what else happens? Is there a group of people who just enjoy being around like minded people into off roading and Rovers who sit around camping and drinking and may try some of the skilled stuff but may not because either their truck isn't up for it or they are lazy that weekend?

yep. thats my group. we rarely actually do the rock event (though its a good time to just watch too). We do hit a number of trails while there and sometimes even camp over (we're fairly local though).

That's about my speed as well. If I'm not stuck in a bathroom renovation (new house has carpeted bathrooms, light blue, avocado or "harvest gold" (read: mustard) tubs and toilets and the toilets throw about 4-6 gallons per flush) then I'll try and make it over.

Rovers on the Rocks 8 – Updated 10/12/2016

As of today, we are just about 1 month out on another great ROTR event. We figured we should tell you all about some of the great prizes we will have available and how you could win one for yourself.

Drive. The. Course.

Yes, that is it. All you have to do is drive your truck on the course. Get in the driver’s seat, turn the engine on, buckle your seatbelt, and attempt personal glory as you drive the wheels off your Land Rover in an attempt for the trophy. I know, I know, you could care less about winning any of the prizes listed below. We know deep down all you really want is that sweet, sweet trophy for your mantle. But, if you end up not being the victor on the course, you could still walk away a winner with one of our many prizes. Just run the course. You don’t even have to complete it, you just have to give it a college try. Worried about smashing up your ride home? Take the bypass. Worried your wife is going to yell at you? Be gentle, but give it your best. When your attempt is over, simply collect your raffle ticket. Have a passenger with a driver’s license and you trust them with your truck? Let them drive it and they too can be entered to win. At the dinner Saturday night the prizes will be laid out for you to ogle over. Put your ticket in the bin and pray to win.

Let’s talk fees. All you need to do to be able to run the course is pay Rausch Creek your day pass of $40 and boom, you’re in. Go hit the park in the AM, but be sure to be back at the Rocks Course by 1pm so we can get started promptly. Check out their page for more details and to fill out your paperwork in advance:

That dinner we mentioned? It will be Saturday night at the hotel after the challenge and will be from the world famous Buddy’s Log Cabin in Pine Grove, PA. Cost of the dinner will be $20/per person and will require prepayment and RSVP by 11/5/2016. Kids 12 & under eat for free.
Tickets can be purchased here: http://www.lucky8llc.com/products/rovers-on-the-rocks-8-meal-ticket

Come on out. It's a good time, and you'll learn a lot about your truck.
