Hard to beat the slimline with brushbar that were made in the old dominion. terrain master made a nice looking bumper back in the day. ARB bulky and weak..
ARB bulky and weak
I never even thought of putting a D1 bumper on a RRC. It took forever for me to find my non-winch ARB and I still have to clean it up...
Have to disagree on this one.
A older Cadilliac went through a red light and turned in front of me while I was driving my '93LWB with about 3" lift and an ARB bumper. I was going about 45 when I hit him.
Rangie went over his hood and drove the driver front wheel under the seat box - the ARB took most of the hit and bent where it hit the car. The frame where it was attached really bent. Rover totalled, yet, was able to open my door.
So maybe bulky, yet, for sure not weak.
And where I live, there are many deer so having the upper bar protecting the hood is most useful.

If the bumper were mounted using the crush cans, it would rotate and fuck up the fenders. And it didn't take really heavy winching. Some would complain they would rotate during heavy winching. But that was more because of the mounting system I believe.
