RRC SS exhaust ?

Looking at the welds on my 1995 LWB's exhaust, and the early onset of socially isolated driving season, I should probably replace it now. I have long thought about doing a full stainless system, but since it's a 14cux and runs fine, I'll leave the Cat's alone. Is this a wise choice?

In a quick search, RN has full NRP systems for $$$$ and the NRP Cat-back for $$$, and AB lists Magnaflow $$ as back-in-stock-soon. Are there any other choices?

Shop around, someone will have what you need in stock and maybe at a better price. I've used the full magnaflow system on my '95 Classic and on my wife's Disco 2, and am happy with them. Got them both on (shudder...) Ebay...

Dont waste your money. Find a shop with a mandrel bender (good luck) and have them make you a new exhaust, you can choose from a zillion different mufflers.

NRP seem to be highly regarded throughout the Rover community.

I like Magnaflow mufflers. I have never understood the allure of a stainless exhaust system, to each his own.

I had to replace my NRP muffler in Dec. of 2018 since it had developed several rust pinholes. It was on from the previous owner, so it was at least 8+ years old. I replaced it with a SS Magnaflow from Amazon and had a local shop weld it up for me.

I also just replaced my Y pipe last month with an original one from a 95 (It’s good to know people...) since the NRP flanges had gone south. All that’s left of my NRP system is the tailpipe.

In the end, I don’t know if NRP is all it’s made out to be. Given the rusting I had, maybe it lasted longer than something else would have. My truck spent its “formative” years in Boston, but now it’s deeper into the rust belt of SW PA. Outside of this area, stainless probably does last practically forever.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll have to shop around. FWIW, this RRC still has the factory exhaust (orig. 60k mile RRC). Futher, I'm in NJ but the LWB doesn't see any salt use. So, either a SS cat-back would last forever, or I don't really need it. The thing that bothers me most is not seeing (feeling) the tubing gage in my hands prior to purchase.

Need to see some pics of the Rangie!!
I’m in the same boat and went SS so not to think about it. There is enough to think about already with the beast as it is.

Part number for magna flow ? Did you use 12256 or 12589?

Did you use a walker adapter or have a shop fit the muffler and weld on an the other pieces?

What about the muffler they sell in 16713, it comes with adapter and hangers but do they sell just the muffler?.

So many questions...
