I have fabbed braided AN lines for external oil (8AN) and trans coolers (6AN) for my 92 RRC, but cannot find a AN fitting with a M10x1.5mm port for the factory trans temp switch.
Does this switch enable overdrive on the HP22 like in the later D2s etc? Or is it just for the warning light?
If it is just the light, I may install a temp gauge and save a lot of headache. I tapped an elbow for 10x1.5, but when I thread the switch in it practically blocks the elbow's entire inner diameter. It is also a potential leak point. If the sensor is essential, I will have to find another fitting to tap that places the port farther out from the ID.
