RRC Winch for RRC Aluminum Bumper

I have an old Warn winch that came with my aluminum RRC bumper, yet the winch is so old and worn (no identifying tags) that I'm having a hard time identifying it (part number, WLL capacity, etc..) Was there a 'standard' warn winch that came with these RRC aluminum bumpers? If so, does anyone have any info on them?

The winch was non-operable, so I need to purchase the appropriate gasket set so that I can tear it down, clean and grease it, and refurbish it.

Thanks,

Casey

Pretty sure the only aluminum RRC bumper for a winch was on a GDE vehicle in 1989. It was a Warn winch. Suggest contacting Warn as they helped rebuild a winch for the GDE replica LR auctioned a few years back.

Thanks for all of your helpful replies!

I've contacted Warn regarding the winch. They've taken their best guess, but were not certain regarding the winch's information (the tags on the winch are meaningless - they don't provide helpful info). If any of you have any further info, please let me know.

Once I determine the winch's info, I'll need to order parts (gaskets, etc.). Do you guys typically order direct from Warn, or are there other retailers you order from?

How are those rings mounted? Is there any backing plate or reinforcement? I have a GDE winch-less bumper on my D1, and I'd like to add some recovery points. The aluminum has me a bit perplexed, though as to its strength vs. steel. Thanks!

Frobisher - when the weather clears up here, I'll take a photo of the mounting hardware for the rings and will post for you to see.

Attached is a photo of how the recovery points are attached to the bumper.

That's remarkably simple. I guess it would have to be given that there isn't much on the front side. Just a backing plate attached to the bumper strut, right? Thanks for the close-up; that makes sense.

Interesting you say this. Had the dealer install a winch with brush bar on my new ‘95 D90. Total cluster fuck yet I’ll see if I have any pics showing the winch.
Looked around and unfortunately not sure where I have the old photos stashed when we moved. I took a picture of a picture hanging on my garage wall yet the winch had is cover on. Also was pretty cool that LR provided it with the winch.
