Running thick cable from battery to the back - along where?

I want to run some thicker cable from the battery of the LR3 to the rear left inside panel. This is 10 AWG cable, need to power the big compressor which requires up to 40A. The question is: along where is the best way to run it? Inside middle, under the carpet, or along the sides (inside) or underneath outside.

Any ideas would be appreciated if anyone has done something similar.

I would bring it inside the car on the right side and run it with the main harness. If your set on mounting it in the left rear I would run it behind the front seats and accross to the left side with the cross car harness thats already there. Then back along the left side sill with all the other harness. So your just running it along the existing harness.
