I was at an independent LR shop last week and saw a D1 with SG, front winch bumper with skid, sill rock slider and rear bumper. If anyone is interested and can get some pics and prices. The disco has a 5.3L RPI which sounds amazing too. Tree fell on the truck so will be parted out.

Sorry everyone for late replies. I assumed I would get pinged if someone posts a reply.

So, full story, this shop is a one-man band. He's a great person but no time to deal with folks one-on-one so I mentioned to him I'd be happy to post what he has and let him know when/if there's interest. I'm headed back to his shop which is about an hour away from me next week. I will get pics and a vid of the engine running. The truck is that bronze gold color and was in Colorado for most of its life. It is in Virginia currently.

Pics and vid the engine and SG gear. Truck has HD axles, 4:11’s and Arb front/rear lockers. Engine runs very smoothly. Has about 10k miles since build. There’s a lot of interest in this truck so only reach out if you’re interested in buying and arranging pick up.

Truck is in Virginia about an hours outside DC.

The shop owner firm at $8K for the whole truck with title.

Wheels/Tires/Winch are sold.

I didn’t spot much damage in the video aside from a broken door mirror and it appears the rear bumper is a bit off. Is there damage on the roof?

The rear bumper is a bent from coming off a large obstacle the slider is bent up and and torqued the rear down.

This is what you get with inferior designs.

The right way to do a rear bumper is to have 2.5" tube from slider down to frame. This way you can actually USE the dam slider.

I could not find the old gallery, that had pics of the rockware rear bumper on my first D1. I used that slider dozens and dozens of time, many times full weight of vehicle coming off hard. What a mistake to have sold it.

Anyone that has a rear slider unsupported like the RTE/SG will end up with this problem....if you ever use it that is.

The roof is damaged from a tree fall. I don't know what the bumper looks off but will take a closer look next time im out there.

I would be inclned to repair/replace the roof if that is the extent of the damage.

Pretty sure its the body lift messing up the SG bumper. You can see it sits an inch up. The bumper mounts to the inner fender so its throwing off the angle.

But you can also see the SG rear is not inline with the fender as it should be. This is a really old bumper. I think original SG stuff so likely 15 years old or more.

Also could not see problem on front bumper.

Engine might be interesting though....

Yeah the slider bolts to where the mud flaps mount so a body lift would cause it to not line up right. I just mounted one to my sons disco. It’s a new one but it’s the same design. No idea how tough they really are but it seems very solid once mounted. U can see the gap at the rear bumper so it’s got a small body lift
