Satellite Radio Antenna Location on D-90

Was wondering if anybody has installed an XM or Sirius satellite radio in their soft top Defender and could recommend where to mount the antenna. It is supposed to mount to the highest, unobstructed point of the vehicle for best reception from the bird. It is a magnet mount so there aren't many choices on the soft top Defender. Was thinking I'd probably need to fabricate a mount. Any ideas might be helpful.

Thanks much!

I stuck the antenna on to the roll cage over the windshield. There's been a couple of threads on D-90 Source about sat radio.

Put mine on front fender right by the heater box intake, you could put it right on that intake if you wanted I can't imagine it would obstruct too much or put it on the other side ontop of the solid one. I can post a pic if you need one.

You guys are coming up with the logical spots, thanks. For my rig I've got chequer plate on the sills and heater scoops so those spots are probably out. I've been leaning toward attaching a plate to the cage in front of the windshield but I've got four big IPF's that might block the signal. Hmmmmmmm...
