A DII corners like a fucking skateboard, and is plenty fast so long as you manage momentum. Construction quality is fine, and the interiors are some of the most well-arranged and produced "near-luxury utility" designs out there; even to this day. Makes the RRC, early L322, and LR3 interiors look and feel like they're made of snot and newspaper. Never been in an LR4, so I can't comment.
They have quirks, but so do other vehicles.
I know a few runs had some genuine engine issues, but not all of them, and quite a few are traceable to that poor coolant choice and infrequent maintenance.
Mine only has issues because of a neglected hose and sitting for several years. That's all my fault; not the vehicle's. It would have killed anything.
