Does anyone know off the top of their head what width the stock 16" steel wheels (not natos) from a euro Def. 110 would be? I picked up a set and may refinish them to use on my Disco XD, I just need to know what the width is so I can evaluate my tire options. They have tires on them now so I have no easy way to measure them. Thanks in advance!

I am almost positive that they are 16" x 5.5". I can measure the off-set from a set I have at home if you are interested. I had them on my Discovery I for a while and I really liked them.

What's the part number?
It should be stamped into them if they're genuine wheels.
ANR4636 is a 5.5" rim.

Thanks for the input guys. I don't have them handy and they're a bit rusty so I would probably have a hard time making out the PN anyway. They are originals, I bought them from a chap who had them on his 110 when he imported it (when he moved from Britain) and later replaced them with NATO wheels. He sold the truck and had these laying around so I picked them up on the cheap. My plan was to possibly sandblast and powdercoat them then use them on the disco. I'm going back and forth between that option and just using the extra set of disco steel spares I've managed to assemble. The disco steel spares probably give me more tire options, but I like the idea of the defender wheels just because they're something unique.

The stamp is pretty deep. You should see it and the Dunlop logo clearly.

If they are ANR4636s, 5.5" is really narrow. Even a 235/85 is clinging for dear life to that rim. It's much happier with a 7.50 or 8.25 or something of similar metric width.

The ANR1534 or so called "130 rim" that came on NAS 110s is wider and can handle 255/85 or even 265/75 (not that I understand why anyone would want anything wider than 255).

At a distance they look the same.

Thanks for the additional information. I'll dig out one of the nicer ones this weekend to take a look. Based on the way the 205/80's fit on the rims I'm guessing they are 5.5". I may just go with a 215/85 unless I can find a line of a set of 7.5R16 Michelin XZL's, which would be really nice on those wheels. I'm with you, wide tires are fine for a jeep, but they don't look right on a rover.

If you have the wheels in hand, why not just measure the width inside rim lip to rim lip????? My guess is that they are 6.5" wide.:banghead:
