No it’s still Doctors, execs, trophy wives, rich kids that don’t know they’re gay yet, but are starting to figure it out. It’s the same crowd that was buying them when your truck was brand new.

I’m a structural engineer. Does that count when I bought my new ‘95 D90 SW? Which of course now wish I still owned!

My Dad was a structural engineer. He built a slabbing mill, wrote the service manual, then ran that and a plate mill till he retired. Went to school on a GI bill after fixing helicopters in Korea.
So I know how crazy you boys can be. There’s a fine line between brilliant and bat shit crazy.

Does he have air suspension? My argument all along is that a truck very similar to this can be had for $52 K. Put that to an inflation calculator and where does that put a $38 K '98 Disco ? I think it's pretty close to the same money. A New Defender 90 is almost identical in wheel base to a 98 Disco. For the money this is a lot of truck. I wish they would sell the hardtop verson here.

Good to see the Fleet and Commercial version still being offered on the 90. Earlier version.
Personally like more light yet it has its place.

If you're going to complain about no new Defender section, why not also mention the absence of a Discovery Sport section?

1. Because it's gay
2. Because it's ugly
3. Because in two decades only a small fraction of posts have gone to any non-solid axle forum
4. Because DWeb is an after-thought to Chris compared to NAS-ROW
5. Because you're all too poor to buy one anyway
6. Because Facebook is already the perfect place for Pretender owners to jerk each other off

It’s amazing how some people need to hate this truck. Mostly people who have never driven one.
I like it. Stripped down with the 2.0 in it I think it’s a good truck and a good price. The high end ones are not worth the money. It was supposed to be a utility vehicle. Stripped down it is, fully loaded it just doesn’t work. Once it’s up to Range Rover pricing you should buy a Range Rover.

I drove Ralf’s at the last MAR (just around the field) and then a stock one. I was surprised at how big it feels compared to my D2. I suspect that brand name alone will continue to drive sales, but I do not expect to see many, in the same way that you do not see too many RRS Thant get modded, just not practical.

Agreed on most points except not sure being a utility vehicle was part of the design criteria. Just too many unnecessary electrical elements such as Traffic Sign Recognition although maybe today’s drivers need this.
