Nothing says poseur to me more than someone driving a mud covered Jeep /Rover for weeks on end to show how badass they are.
At least that shows they leave pavement from time to time. The other sign that screams poseur is the never-used traction boards mounted to the roof rack. That's a common sight round these parts.

There is a Subaru up the street from the office that has traction boards and an ARB awning off the side, way longer than the actual roof. It is hilarious.

Taking the feedback and lowering to 9K.
White cleans up really well on the rovers. I’ve done mine a few times. So a couple hours with a buffer would likely make a significant difference if you’re going for top dollar.

But to your credit, its a very honest presentation vs a lot of trucks that are full of lipstick. Fresh black paint underneath to hide Rust and Leaks and whatever else etc etc.

I have to be honest, at $9K I'd buy this thing if I didn't already have two RRCs being pains in my ass. But, I love saving old cars and RRCs like this have a ton of character.

I second the honest presentation. There are so many rust buckets on auction sites that have been heavily coated underneath.

Knock on wood, I don't think we'll see RRCs drop much in value in the future. There was one on BaT recently with very lazy presentation and some 90's era hood mods most would consider undesirable today. It still crested $20K.

With some sorting and cleaning they are starting to really climb in value. Example sold price:

Yeah, we were headed to the local barista in Italy from France going down Hannibal’s Trail in our shiny Rangie.

Is 4 pelicans on roof and back seat stuffed to the head liner badass?

We were wild camping in France and Italy for 4 weeks. The back seat actually had our 2 Chocolate Labs. The cargo area though was pretty full as the ARB fridge takes up a lot of room. At the end we hung out in Val d’isère for a few days to get back into civilization. Ran a few trails with Club Des Aigles in the French Alps.D18DBB4F-71C9-47E0-850A-E9829FBD518E.jpeg
Normally the Rangie had the rack removed to fit into the Swiss house garage. Had to construct a ramp to get the Rangie out and back in with the rack on. The rack was stored in the garage hung by a Harken tackle system.843D1106-015F-42D9-BCAF-7CA2B54F1524.jpeg

Somewhere in Italy. Usual overnight setup.

Rangie in typical use. It was a great Rover to have in Europe for our 5 year stay: 2011 - 2016. The local LR dealer in Liechtenstein loved the Rangie and took great care of us.

Those Disco propeller wheels look great on that Rangie. Also, that landscape looks spectacular. What a great experience.

It's all good, I was giving you shit for calling someone a poser for having a dirty rig, when you ratchet strap hundreds of pounds to your roof.

It was an awesome experience! Thought I’d try something different for wheels while over there. Unfortunately on that trip actually bent one and had to revert back to the Cyclones.
