Thankfully, I hadn't sent the money yet. I guess the guy with the diff guard was a scammer on Landroverforum.com. I was hoping he might have another part I needed and was waiting to send the money via paypal.

All parts have been found!

I recently bought a TReK edition D2 from a fellow D-webber. After doing some additional research on the 1999 TReK trucks, I believe that I may be missing some of the underbody armor. To be completely fair, I was a great transaction and I'm more than thrilled with the overall condition of the truck.

That being said....I'm looking for the following:

Front Steering Guard (found)
Front Axle Guard (sourced one from the UK)
Rear Differential Guard (still looking)

If anyone here has a 1999 TReK, I'd love to see some pictures of what was included with your truck. Seeing that only a handful of these were ever made, it's hard to get complete information on their ori

Weren't those Southdown units with the Land Rover logo cut out?

If so, a Southdown plate and some time or a water jet would solve the problem if you can't find an original. I could swear those damned things were aluminum, but all my Southdown stuff is/was anodized steel.

Maybe it's different, but it sure looked similar, if I recall correctly.

Cheers,

Kennith

I'm almost certain they were Southdown units with a Land Rover decal instead of the Southdown decal. I have a Land Rover branded skid plate on my G4. It's identical to the Southdown unit.

So I'm going to pull the genuine LR skid plate from my G4 and I've sourced the Southdown Axle guard from the UK ($300 shipped for a new but not in box).

Still looking for a Southdown rear diff guard. That would complete the collection!

Just saw this. Just found a Southdown skid plate in the barn... forgotten treasure. Glad to see you found one...
