Are these things threaded into the carrier or are they welded on? I got into a rush with an impact wrench and stripped not one but two of the bolts out! :banghead: The worse part is, I know better than to use an impact when starting to put them on.

Also, I learned the hard way that they are not "real" studs or nuts, they are junk. The dealer informed me of that, which made me feel real comfortable bolting that huge tire onto the back door. I think I had to buy a whole new mount. You should be able to find one easy. I eventually moved my tire onto the roof because the mount started to break apart all together. I know guys have reinforced them, and I did too, but it eventually became a losing battle since the door core is hollow. The amount of work to keep it all together, and do it right, was not too appealing. And i don't scare easily. I know this is more info than you wanted, but I just wanted to vent. Good luck!

Anyone know size of those bolts ?

I'd like to order a few before swapping tire carrier.

Hey, i'm talking about the bolts that hold the carrier
to the door, 6 of them i think.
