Stuck in East Bumblefuck in limp mode *HELP*

Xyz took a shit. M&S blinking, sometimes I can get gears, sometimes the dash shows me what gear I'm in. i keep clearing codes and restarting the truck to get every gear except fourth. If I go to D I go straight to limp and third . Is there any bypass I can do ? or some way to trick it into fourth so I dont have to take the scenic back roads home?

make sure you have a good battery connection, same thing happened to me and i just put caps over the terminals of my battery so the cables fit nice and snug and it went away for me. Test the battery also.

Yeah connections and battery are good. Thanks. I sprayed the connection with electrical cleaner tested it and it seemed to get into drive without limp mode after going down to 1-2-3. Is going to sit today because I need it to get into drive to get home.

thanks to the scanguage i was able to clear the codes coupled with restart after restart i was able to get 4th gear and get on the highway. it did go back into limp and quit for good only 52 miles from my house so i went 55 in 3rd gear and stopped to let the tranny cool down once. now to rockauto to buy a new one.
