Get a can of carb cleaner and a rag and clean your throttle. Make sure the keys off so you can open the throttle and get the back side of the blade and the housing.
Hey Gunny...
I don't know if an LR3 has an IAC valve but if it does take it off and clean it out with carb cleaner. That is what controls your idle speed.
Clean your throttle body. Be very careful to move the throttle plate gently when you open it by hand. Don't allow it to slam shut. Not sure why, but I've seen throttle motors fail with rough handling.
I unplug the throttle body and use a small piece of scotch brute with a little wd40 and scrub away the carbon deposits. Don’t spray carb cleaner. It will remove the Teflon grease in the throttle plates in the throttle body and cause a failure
