It does ok. Not put you back in the seat like a supercharged V8, but you won't feel like your driving my cruze.
It comes on smooth. It’s the 2.0 turbo that has some lag in some rpm ranges. And then that 8 speed trans takes you in and out of thoseIs power delivery consistent? Or do you get notches?
Are you talking about a 4-liter V6 or 3-liter supercharged V6?
Marginal improvement over the 4.4L. I would want the 5.0NA, it’s a much better car than the 3.0SC LR4
Even with the chain issues?
The chain issue has been blown way out of proportion in my opinion.
As I've said since 2003, oil is FAR less expensive than an engine!I think Jymmie is right that it's been blown out of proportion. It's mostly the early ones. I know everybody says they stretch and other manufacturers have that problem. But I've laid out every chain I've replaced with the chain I took out an have not seen any signs of stretching. I think they get worn from the 16,000 mile oil change interval. When they get loose enough to jump time it's usually because of some major failure in the tensioners or guides.
Our family hauler has been the 2016 LR4 V6 SC for 5 1/2 years. It has 95K miles from new now. I've changed the oil between 5-6K and use Costco full-syn with a new filter. We've done the trans/t-case/diff fluids at 75K, and it's on its second set of tires and second set of rotors and pads. The FCA were replaced at 80K, the rotary shifter stopped at 70K, water pump started weeping at 22K. As preventive maintenance, we've replaced all coolant hoses. It's not been as simple and straightforward as our previous car which was a 2002 Suburban that lasted for 300K miles and only needed fluids, filters, brakes, and tires.Bump - anyone else have experience with the SCV6?
Didn’t you have a continual coolant loss issue? Our family hauler has been the 2016 LR4 V6 SC for 5 1/2 years. It has 95K miles from new now. Just figure that anything that fails on a 5.0 is basically the same setup on the 3.0. It makes enough power to move the 6,000 lb truck. It sounds kind of sickly compared to the 5.0 when you really let it eat.Bump - anyone else have experience with the SCV6?
