For those of you with a TDI in your Discovery, what are you getting for fuel economy? I drive mine almost exclusively in very hilly mountain areas and like clockwork get 22-23 MPG average per fill up. Most recent fill up was 20.5 gallons and 455 miles. I imagine if I was more often on flat land it would be much higher.

I posted this elsewhere, but I have recorded as high as 40MPG in the most ideal conditions - 50-55mph on flat, straight coastal roads here in FL without a lot of stops. This was when my D1 was fully stock, with EGR deleted and auto trans. I replicated this a few times so pretty sure not a fluke, unless my odo wasn't being honest.

I just got new steel bumpers put on, but we also put in a new snorkel and freer-flowing exhaust, so I'm wondering if the delta will be negligible. I've also been doing a lot more in-town driving the past couple weeks. I'll report back in the next few days on my most recent measurement.

I just drove my 110 from DC to NYC and back last week. Primarily on 95 North doing 75mph and in the city all weekend. I got about 25mpg with the truck fully loaded and four passengers.

Just filled up after draining half a tank - some easy coastal road driving, some in-town. The Disco was in the shop for a couple weeks too getting a bunch of upgrades. 22MPG...

I forgot that Jake tweaked the fuel pump on mine for a bit more power and that's probably contributing to the drop too. Now I've got a FrontRunner Slimline rack on it as of this week, so I'm expecting MPGs to be more in the 20-25MPG in the long run.
