shit I paid 28 for mine and put 18 into it... lol

Give me a break... how about pushing $40k for a 1995? All I can say is thank god I paid it off in about 2 years. Thank god I did not get a grand cherokee.

It was definitely the last new car I will buy with my own money.

Been lurking since 03 joined in 04 bought my 96 Disco the same year picked it up on the way home from the UK where I got HOOKED by a two door TDI 5speed. Got shafted by the guy I bought it off of for about two grand and ended up dumping another 3K into it one the way from Houston to South Dakota by way of FL, NC and Mass. That was one long F-in road trip. Ex-wives suck. First night I had it it simply shut off no reason no warning no nothing I was on I10 in LA in the middle of nowhere and I remember thinking how incredibly stupid I had been to buy this thing online sight unseen and just jump in and drive it around the country. It started right back up and off I went on an all night drive to FL to pick up my younger son. Oh well we live and learn. The wonderful folks at the Jacksonville LR dealership got me on my way. Truck did the same thing between Fl and NC to pick up my older son. Limped it around in NC and drove straight through to my folks place in Mass Rover went to the nice folks just south of Boston can't remember the name now. they swapped the fuel pump and fixed my cruise control. Haven't had issues with either since. I've put 70K+ miles on the beast and she still purrs. Bought a 94 last year she's another work in progress but as always life goes on as long as the parts flow.
Anyway Happy B-day D_WEB! I don't post or get on here as much as I would like but it's a great family warts and all.

Kim Sykes was the woman in California.

Rawb and I were just uttering Carter Simcoe's name around the campfire and celebrating the 10th anniversary of Discoweb on a trip in Utah.

There are plenty of the OGs still around, but nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

first truck was in 2002, first event was Uwharrie Safari (in my Jeep at the time). Camille, wasn't she gonna write a book or something? I wheeled with a few LR folks at 2nd Mountain in the snow in 2000 or 2001.

I didn't get into Rovers until late '04, so I consider myself a newbie. JSQ may even consider me a member of the Moron Hordes even though he offers me advice regarding shotguns on the EE BBS.

Bought my '85 RRC in November of 2001 and was already lurking here for awhile. At the time I had a '74 SIII 88 as well. I remember sites like The Series Shed, the original British Pacific boards (set up and run by Terri Ann), LRX, and when the Rovers North boards before you had to register to post. I still look in on Guns and Rovers every now and then but since I'm a full fledged coiler, there's less there that's really relevant to me.
