I think it's pretty clear the Democrats didn't expect this to go to a hearing - they sat on the info for months, they leaked the info just in time to attempt to get Kavanaugh's nomination reversed and it backfired.

That said:

I don't believe Ford completely - I don't believe she thinks she was going to be raped or killed and I don't believe it affected her life like she totally played it up. She's lying about remodeling her house to have "2 doors" and flying and other forms of nonsense. What I do think happened is likely her, Judge and Kavanaugh were drunk, fooling around, and then she got scared she was going to be known as the chick who fucked two dudes and bolted. Leaving just enough "truth" there to bring up later to derail his nomination.

I also think Kavanaugh was lying about his drinking. When questioned about it he hemmed and hawed, repeated himself, repeated himself again, and tried to parse out "went to sleep earlier than I thought I would" against "went to sleep because I drank too much (passed out)" Everything else was believable and I don't think what Ford said happened happened, and I don't think Kavanaugh was lying about it. Part of me thinks he was there messing around though....

The real losers were the Democrats - everything they were saying was "courage, America, courage, heroism, courage, bravery, America, assault assault believe women, courage, America, courage"

The Republican message of "you motherfuckers were just playing politics to derail the nomination and none of you really believe this shit" was much stronger.

I missed it live, but the snippet they showed on CNN revealed some industrial grade attention whoring.

Of course, because CNN only shows snippets to cast people at their worst (or best, depending on their sympathies).

You had to have watched the entire thing in context.

Kavanaugh came out with both barrels blazing. Graham cleaned up behind him with a Trench Gun. Way to go boys!

I don?t have tv and don?t watch Fox.

YouTube broadcast it live.
politics aside, technology is amazing with live streaming and from multiple cameras... I too do not have cable but streamed it live and watched it. A circus minus everything but the elephants, which they made up for by a lot of clowns. ;-)

I apologize for Snowflake on behalf of Arizona.

Fuck him! I feel sexually violated by the looks he was giving and the words he used on camera. I want the FBI to investigate immediately!! Expulsion is the only thing that will make me feel all better.
The grandstanding cunt was just saving his own skin, what a fucking piece of shit. :banghead:

Here is were I believe you are wrong, the Left won this hands down. They now have a silver bullet, the sexual accusation. Proof is no longer needed to eliminate an opponent, lynch them with accusations in the media and it's over. The Republicans needed to say "fuck you" from the start. They needed to make clear to all members of the party that no matter what, last minute ambushes are bullshit and won't be tolerated and not standing up to it will mean censure at the least. The rule of law has been gutted and there is no putting that cat back in the bag at this point.

On Kennith's private island
Remember when everyone thought for sure Trump had his mind made up on Amy Coney Barrett for the nomination, but then in the 9th inning Kavanaugh comes out of the wood work? I know Kavanaugh was on Trump's short list, but after Kennedy's announcement no one was talking about Kavanaugh. It was Amy Coney Barrett who had the headlines.

I was speaking from a logical standpoint - not from an knee jerk reactionary emotional standpoint.

debate vs debate the Republicans/Kavanaugh won hands down. The prosecutor who was questioning Ford was masturful, she cast doubt into almost everything Ford stated, but it was subtle.

I agree that accusation = guilty these days.

There was some friend of a friend on dumbook who seriously stated that men should be prosecuted based on how it makes women feel, not what the law says the crime is.

i.e. if you say "nice Tits" to a chick and she feels like "he raped me with those words" then you, sir, are guilty of Rape according to this kook bag.

Oh and I stopped counting the number of "likes" her comment got.

Next thing you know Spelling Bee losers will get ribbons, defeated soccer teams will get trophy's and the lowest grade a kid can get on a test is 50, no matter the answers given.

What's the world coming to?

Ha. Kids don't even need to go to school these days. Schools have an attendance policy that's not even enforced. Grades? Who cares.
Everyone seems to be a 'winner' nowadays. Everyone gets a medal or a participation trophy; various running events for example...

They only care one week out of the year. Around here they advertise it on their sign out front. They call it "Attendance Week"! That's the week all the students get counted for funding purposes.
And I just read an article about a teacher getting fired for giving a ZERO when the school's policy was "nothing lower than a 50%"

Lindsey Graham gave the speech of his life. Perfectly timed and dead on. Bravo.
I watched it live and when I saw it, I called my buddy in South Carolina and told him that I thought the tide had just turned on the confirmation.

I sincerely believe that Justice Kavanaugh has Senator Graham to thank for his confirmation.
