Looking for opinions on drag link and tie rod ends. Opinions on genuine vs bearmach vs britpart vs others. Grease zerk or none? Are the genuine ones even worth it?

FWIW i rebuilt ALL of my steering components with DOM tubing and used heim joints on all the ends. I was bending any production stuff every time I went out and the tie rods ends were not up to the task either. I have not had any problems since fabricating my own stuff! And...believe it or not...the heim joins offer a bit more flex to the front end.

I thinking everything is shit anymore - your just lucky is you get a good piece of shit.

I bought some Prolines from AB and they where actually Lemforders that where said to be very good in another post - 1 went bad in 4 months

An auto shop guy I was working with said he likes MOOG - So I just ordered a set of those to try.

I use 2 rights and 2 lefts from a from a D1 or Range Rover Classic for the Terra Firma rods I have - Ab said they tried all sorts of combinations when I asked them for replacements for the Terra Firma, but they could not figure it out. Yeah OK...

Ordered mine here:

Gwyn Lewis has 4 different material and thickness options, and a nice write up on the product, then a list at the bottom that tells you exactly what parts to order for either the drag link or track rod and finally, Steering Damper Relocation kits.

It's like Drag Links for Dummies
