The GF drove the D2 home and parked it for a couple days when I notice the steering reservoir was half empty/full (point-of-view thing) and it seemed to be coming from the pump-to-reservoir so I emptied the rest of the tank, pulled the hose and cut the end off and then put a wide worm-clamp then put the saved fluid back in. Not too long later it was dripping again so am I to assume that it is more than the hose at this point?
