Hey guys... I need a little help trying to figure out what's going on with the radio in my D1.. here are the symptoms and what I have tried.. bare in mind this is the first time I attempt something like this so please don't crucify me on crappy terminology or dumb questions.

The radio turns on but I get no sound except to the rear woofers and it doest recognize the stock (I think) cd player under the drivers seat. When switched to the input, it says Err. Also when switched to WB it says NO WB.

Attempts to fix:
Rewired the amp and checked all the fuses. Based on what the previous owner told me, he had installed a new working amp.
9v battery tested the front and rear speakers from the output cables at the amp.. all ok
Direct connected a speaker to the input cable on the amp... no sound
Checked all the wiring at the rear of the radio and everything looked right at the wiring harnesses.
Pin connector looked OK
There were two inputs on the right one for "main" and one for "sub". Only the sub cable was there and connected.
Cd player is connected and has power.

At this point I'm thinking the head unit may be bad but I'm not sure if there is any other way to test/troubleshoot.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Kevin

Maybe have a good stereo shop make the repairs?
