Been doing some work on my old 4runner and the Toyota FSM has a troubleshooting section with possible causes and investigation orders. I've scanned through the rave dozens of times for miscellaneous repairs but cant seem to find a similar section for my D1. Is something like this available in a different manual or I just missing it?

The easy answer is no. You have to think for yourself, but there is really good information that will help you in something called a SIDS document. That stands for system information document. They have them for Brake Shift Interlock, Engine Management, security and more I'm forgeting I'm sure. It's always kind of been like that with this car company. The info is there if you know how to find it, the troubleshooting skills are up to you.

Thanks for the response. That is unfortunate to here, this has been super useful for my 4runner and from a technical standpoint I really appreciate the effort from Toyota.
