Agreed. The Tahoe didn't get an LS engine until 2000.

even with all the bastadizing, you know it's still a Rover at its core because the owner has to keep a set of sockets on the floor board just in case.

Yes. My old truck - miss it and almost bought it back but alas she went to someone else, who I’m in contact with. She was a great truck and sadly the guy I sold her to never really finished the things that needed tweaking. But hopefully she will get the love she needs now. And yes, that’s a tree-fitty from a 98-99 Tahoe.
