Its that time again.

We have exciting news that the registration for this year's event is open and we have some exciting new rides for you to join.
We will be opening up camping at the Group Campsite on Thursday, April 6th and proceeding through Sunday, April 9th.
Our new rides will be across the road at Big Creek, on Friday, April 7th, with two group rides, the first one will leave from the Training Center at at 9am and second one at 2pm, also from the Training Center. Scott Fields has been kind enough to offer his skills to guide our groups around the property.
The long range weather forecast looks like it'll be warmer than last year and the rain will hopefully come in right before event to help keep the dust down and dry out a bit before we arrive.
We will be sharing the shirt design shortly along with reminder postings about our Sponsors. Please be on the look-out.

Spots for the two Big Creek rides are limited to 10 vehicles per ride. And are on a first come first serve basis.

Don't go messing with my sweet 2001 Trooper at Big Creek. Or for that matter my other trucks at the "Training Center". Feel feel to roll Timmy's old white DI though. Hell maybe I'll come down just to harass you aholes on my KTM or Bundera.

I'm riding shotgun this time around which should be fun (109" on TSL's). Headed down whenever we get there. I'll keep an eye out for Timmy's old D1 at Big Creek

It's parked at the Training Center across from the Outpost. It's a back up vehicle. :) Trooper will be at Big Creek, but it's a challenge to drive being bone stock on worn out tires. It's just a roll over/scenario truck, but runs damn good.

Is the KKK rally in Asheboro that weekend? No really.

I have it.. thanks! Hopefully see you down there!

I just got off the phone with Scott and am trying to make it happen, but it depends on me having my 5 year old and some other work related items. Hmmm. The car seat would fit in the back of that truck just fine.

I spend a shit ton of time at Big Creek working, so it would be nice to just take my lil Bundera out for a casual day of giggling and clapping hands.

Cool, Ill be leading that group. Looks like its going to be a small group in the morning.. Which means we can probably do a lot more trails than the larger afternoon ride.

Awesome. How many trucks are you thinking for the morning ride?

With the number of people always asking and looking for good trails, I'm surprised there are not more people taking advantage of this. Big Creek is a great trail system too and with the combination of the National Forest, it's a good little area with some great support from the locals. Outpost owner Chris Cagel is a really great guy and always willing to help out with about anything.

In my opinion the Land Rover community has been slow on "education" - meaning they don't want to be taught anything. What they don't know - they don't know. I hope that changes.

Scott helped build the trails at the National Forest and he created Big Creek and UORTC, so he's been a huge part of making that area accessible to OHV users. I short, he's done a shit ton for the off-road community in that region. It will continue to grow as well in 2018.

How do the trails in Big Creek compare to the Uwharrie trails? Are they more difficult? Easier? I am always looking for more difficult trails. I can only run Dickey Bell and Daniel so many times before I get bored....

They are tighter and more technical than the public trails. But they are also a lot shorter and smaller area.
