Anybody have one? Looking for feedback and observations. Particular regarding that iddy biddy engine.

You might check the rangerovers.net fora. They have an entire forum dedicated to the Velar.

I don't know a damn thing about the Velar. My wife's Lincoln has the same performance numbers in the i4 engine (240-ish HP) but 500# less curb weight. It's a complete pile of crap on acceleration. However, it cruises nicely down the freeway. I'd guess the Velar can barely outrun it's shadow with the i4 configuration.

So I pulled the trigger. I gotta say I was blown away by the turbo 4. Not like it was so amazing, but rather that it so greatly exceeded my expectations. Have no idea how they can make a ~4700 lb car feel that snappy with a 4 liter engine.

I missed this earlier. Cool, I think it's been a pretty solid vehicle. It is a pavement princess, but head and shoulders above any transverse mounted piece of shit.
The engine is pretty good so far. just a couple issues so far and they run it in a lot of models across both brands.

30 days later and I absolutely love it. Pavement princess for sure - it's a "car". Still wish I could go back and not buy it though..... if this market doesn't settle down I'm going to have plenty of time on my hands to just sit and stare at it.

It's gonna be fine. I think in 2 weeks when all the Covid19 numbers show we're on the back side of it it's going to shoot back. I'm thinking about riding an index fund back up.

Not even concerned about my investments right now. I'm referring to the margin calls that are about one or two days away from decimating a good chunk of the banking industry if we can't get a few things sorted out.
