don't waste your money
your time has come
buy a new engine with top hat liners and new heads anything else is a waste of time and money.
then when its all done and you spent 10 grand the codes start again eventually and more money and time.
its a vicious cycle i am ready to be done with.

Awe come on now. I'm spending right at 1G on timing set, oil pump gears, rebuilt heads, gaskets, both drive shaft overhauls, new brass prop water pump, new gray thermostat, new hoses, belt and other small stuff. So for me it's worth a try.
If it blows another head gasket, I'll consider junking it or parting it out.
At least I bought it dirt cheap, paid cash and got 75K pretty much trouble free miles out of it.
My truck and another one just like it is not worth the cost of a top hat lined block.
I'm thinking it may be about that time but, I'm hard headed and just gotta know if it'll still go.
Hard hauling groceries and refreshments on a hog.
