95 DI I finally found where the water ingress is...passenger side below the windshield seal and below the wiper there is a black, plastic rectangular piece. Does anyone know what this is and what is the fix for this? Found this link and I’m not sure if this is it- https://discoweb.org/index.php?threads/water-corrosion-causing-wiring-damage-series-one.12085/
Any help identifying this piece and solution would be appreciated! Thanks!
Ed

Ps I’m point to the black piece in the pic.

That black box thing is your fresh air in to the cabin used by your A/C and heat. Check to see if the bolts around it is tight there is a foam/ rubber gasket between the white part the rover body and the black part the air box it can leak you can clean the area and spray flex seal around it. Water can also get in from the back if the water is coming in from between the lower windshield rubber and the lower windshield cowl. If that is the problem place some ABS plastic between so water can flow around and be diverted from entering the air box as shown on the TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) that you have listed in your comment.

Thanks John. I will take it apart and clean it and try to seal it better. Hopefully I can also divert the water as you mentioned.

You will need to remove the wiper blade arms, followed by the nut, the two corner trim pieces remove the bolt, remove the 2 clips just next to each corner trim, and last the center bolt below the cowl. It is a lot easier if you remove the hood lay a moving blanket on the roof and place the hood on that so it is out of the way and so that it doesn't get damaged.
