Aloha, just picked up a 2003 D2. On the way home from the guy we bought it from the SES light came on. When I got home I noticed a small puddle of water formed under the center of the truck. Tracking it back to this little valve. See the photo.
Does anyone know what this might be and if it is a problem or part of the SES light?
Other than a bit of rough idle the truck is fine. E4A4C9F3-0C7B-44F7-9790-75C01AE12E3A.jpeg

That is just the drain nipple for the roof. You can stick something small up in it to make sure it’s not partially clogged and holding water.

Ahh I see. Thank you.
it drips when the truck is running.
Could it be anything else?
First make sure all the water is out. If there is water in there, it could be the vibration while it’s running that causes it to drip. There is a second drain on the other side of the tunnel so you should check them both

Okay. I stuck a syringe needle up there. Clearing the water and some crap that was in there.

That’s the air conditioner (AC) condensate drain pipe on a D2 and not the sunroof drain.
That leaking is is normal when the AC is running. You should make sure all the water is able to drain out on its own.

Cleaned out the all the gunk. Water still drips but far less than was pouring out yesterday.
Thanks for the help!

This is air conditioning condensed water. This is normally dripping when AC is on. It has nothing to do with a rough idle. Your Image shows drain without its conic shaped end cap. Its important to put these rubber end caps again because dust is sucked by these drains when climathizer blower is working. These ends get dirty but prevent to get mud in our AC evaporator inside. So is a must to take these ends out using security lens, to wash them and to put them back.

Drain nipple for aircon.
It will drip when A/C is on, worry if it stops.

Do you have a scan tool? Then you'll know what the important problem really is. It's a must if you own a D2.
I've got a Scanguage 2 I picked up at Autozone and plugged it into the OBD2 connector located down by the gas pedal. Easy to set up.
I mounted it on top of the steering column. Gives you ACCURATE water temp, RPMs and other data.
You can always get a cheaper OBD2 reader you plug and unplug, but I like having the temp read out all the time.

Much mahalo for all the help.
The AC plug is cleaned out and it has nothing to do with the SES light being on.
it would seem that from the fault codes that came up on the OBDII reader that it’s the O2 sensors. I’ll fit née ones next week.
