Weird: Drivers Side Brake like fails when headlights are on?

All 3 rear brake lights work fine when the head lights are off. When you turn the headlights on (flipping the stalk on the wheel ) the drivers side rear brake light goes out.

If you put your foot on the brake and all 3 brake lights are on, flipping the head lights on and off flips the drivers side brake lights on and off as well.

I've gone through the bulbs and they are all good. I plan to go through the wiring diagrams this weekend, but has anyone ever encountered this? There must be some connection between the headlights and the drivers side rear brake light?

Thanks

ya the rear brake light bulbs are not normal 1157 or whatever. pin out the socket with a test light and see if it acts wierd there.

I had a similar issue, ground in the bulb socket was not making proper contact. I cleaned it with a battery post/clamp cleaner and then bent the ground further out so it contacted the bulb better and all has been well ever since.
