I thinking of buying a used set of 4.75 R&P GBR with ARB lockers two years old. How much do you think its worth used. I know the guy who used them. What is a fair price?

my truck is fairly stock right now I'm in the process of building it just got a lift for free from my bro with ome 751 front and 762's on the rear and ome shocks. So I am not wheeling it very hard right now but that will change. Getting a three link and axles soon.

I know, I have 245/75's right now but I am planing on going to 33's or possibly 35's, check out jay Frem's DI to see what I mean. More trimming, less lift= lower center of gravity.

i'd personally do 4.11s. i have stock gears and 33's and run maybe 2500 at 75. i like to keep the RPMs to 2K, so that's around 65-70 mph on the highway in fourth gear. if i drop down to third for a downshift or steep roads, it shoots up to 3K. i feel that that's what it'll be like with 4.11s and don't mind the consumption with the added power.

i think 4.75s would be too much. perhaps buy them with the lockers, sell the 4.75s and buy 4.11s?

If they are complete thirds with ARBs Id be tempted to buy them, put the carriers in your diffs and sell the old housings with the gears. I know Id be interested in them. i would offer my 4.1 GBRs for trade but I blew a pinion bearing and the front is pretty noisy now, albiet functional and fixed. If you could buy them for 1500 you could probably get 400-500 for the gears/carrier pretty easy. Ive got swampers and I cant go over 60 anyway! PM me if you decide to do that...Ive been wanting to go to 4.7s for awhile now. BTW 4.1s with 33 is just about stock gearing with stock size tires. Gordo

who does good diff. work besides GBR for a decent price. Because if the price is right and the work is good I'd go 4.11's. I'm in oregon.

I am only running 33's and I wish I had gone 4.75's. Its true that it will rev. on the interstate but city driving will be great. Go 4.75's and be done with it.

Dont forget, you will need some better rear axle shafts, if you break an axle shaft it can take the locker with it. I learned the hard way.

See I think 4.75's are good because if I want to go to 36 or 37's I will already be set up for it and won't have to change anything, and yes I am definitely getting axles. So what is the consensus on price 1500-1800?

hmm personally, i would look into keiths toy swap for larger than 35s. is this a DI? he already has them available, and toy lockers are cheaper.

the DII stuff is stuff going through testing, if i'm not mistaken. i'm getting the toy swap in 2010 for sure, unless i get the money before then.

I would stay around the 33" mark. I run 33" with 4:11 gbrs. if you go 35 do the toy swap

4.75's are too much for 35's, for one. Second, they'll break with 35's.

Although I have a 4.6 with "stuff", I find the 4.11's more than suitable with 35's.

My brother runs 4.75's with 36's and 33's now for 3 years and runs some of the harshest trails in the grand canyon never broke anything, axles or gears nothin. I really don't understand what your saying 33's with 4.11's is back to stock as far as gearing is concerned. Why would you want that? I know I don't. Running 4:11's w/ 35's or 36's you will be flogging the motor and missing the powerband of the engine, the way the engine is meant to run. Flogging= press on the gas to the floor and nothing happens. The power band on the 4.0 is between 2800 and 3800 rpm.

First off are you upgarding the shafts cause the gearing won't matter when your half shafts are broken. I'm all about big tires but 35-36s of rover axles with stock shafts?
