I have 2 sets of wheels I’d love to get rid of.

1) d2/p38 “S” 16 inch wheels. Set of 5. Show some signs of use but in good shape. Nice upgrade to the 18’s. $300 OBO

2) d1/RRC/90 wheels from a D1 project. Set of 5. Average shape, never off-roaded. $100 they have tires on them but are not road worthy, would be fine for getting on and off a trailer or around the yard.

Pickup in Goldsboro, NC or I can bring them to URE. 357111FC-797B-4B0B-B20F-EE8578501A37.jpegB6AD139F-5D5B-47DD-8D80-7D623476E0F6.jpeg

If you were in TX I would have taken the D1 rims, sadly shipping has gone crazy these days.
Yep, it’s insane to ship anything bigger than a loaf of bread. Just this morning a guy drove 220 miles (round trip) to pick up a part from me as shipping was crazy.

Or just suck it up and pay to play. At least the U$ is strong for Euro stuff.
Maybe that somewhat explains why shipping from UK parts suppliers is much more reasonable than it once was. I purchased a large part from Rimmers almost 3 years ago that cost me over $100 to ship. Yesterday, I priced the exact same item from them and it is now $56 to ship. I then priced shipping for a similar size item via FedEx from NM to TX (about 500 miles) and it was over $100.

Alternatively, I shipped a very small and light box(about 9x6x4 and less than a pound) that the FedEx quote was about $75. I ended up using a USPS flat rate padded envelope (box stuffed inside) instead and it was about $40.

With the exchange rate (strong dollar) I am sure it hurts export sales from the US.

As a side note, the tracking provided by USPS on the shipment to the UK was horrible. It showed it was picked up by an individual in Texas, essentially delivered. It never updated and reaching out to USPS was a total waste of time. I filled out their online inquiry (the only option) and didn’t get an update until days after the person I sent to received a letter from Royal Mail they were holding it for customs fees owed. The part was valued at $96. I can’t recall the last time I paid customs fees on anything shipped from the UK. Think our taxes are comprehensive?? Try the UK.

I don’t know what is going on with USPS but I have had a lot of problems with them lately.

Thanks for the conversation and free bumps. Shipping is stupid and probably why I’m stuck with them so far.

Uwharrie event is this week, let me know by Wednesday if I can bring them!
