Drove from New Orleans to Northern VA two days ago. The first 900 miles were uneventful, but for about the last hundred miles there was a high pitched squeal that sounded like it was coming from the rear of the vehicle. The weird thing about it was that it was only present while going completely straight, and if I was accelerating or maintaining speed. If I braked or turned, it stopped. Got to my destination, parked the truck and it sat for a day. Now, there is no sign of the noise. Any ideas what it might have been?
Normally I wouldn't worry too much about an intermittent noise from a disco, but it was getting pretty loud toward the end of my trip. Thanks for any ideas.
